Abstract

ABStrRACt. The specificity of a malingering formula for the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test was evaluated in a sample of 130 patients with traumatic head injury who had been carefully screened to climinate any individuals who might be expected to have external incentives for poor performance or who might produce invalid profiles for other non-malingering reasons. The malingering formula incorrectly designated only 5% of the sample as malingerers.
