Abstract

ABSTRACT Five-minute daily writing activities requiring students to compare and contrast pairs of concepts in instructor notes and PowerPoint slides increased performance on multiple-choice exams in a large undergraduate human development course. Compared with other established predictors of exam performance, scores on the writing activities proved to be the strongest predictor.
