Abstract

The bridges connecting long- and short-period families around equilateral equilibrium points have been widely studied. However, all the bridges found until now have been of the B(qS,qS'), B(qS,(q + 1)S') kind (periodic families connecting two short-period orbits) or the B(pL,qS) kind (periodic families connecting one long-period orbit and one short-period orbit). In this paper, we introduce a new kind of bridge, B(pL,pL'), which connects two long-period orbits. Only for specific intervals of μ does this kind of bridge exist.
