Abstract

The spectrum of bremsstrahlung in alpha decay is calculated within the framework of quantum and classical electrodynamics. The formulas for the spectra of $E1$ and $E2$ radiation are obtained. The bremsstrahlung is evaluated for the Coulomb barrier and for the spherical symmetry rectangular potential barrier. Experimental results for the nuclei ${}^{210,214}\mathrm{Po}$ and ${}^{226}\mathrm{Ra}$ are analyzed. A concept of interference of the space regions in the emission amplitude is discussed.
