Abstract
We present a theory of the Breit-Wigner-Fano (BWF) resonances in photoconductivity due to the interference of bound states of the hole plus optical phonons with unbound hole states. The theory is found to be in qualitative agreement with experiment. Differences between the BWF resonances in absorption and photoconductivity are explored and explained.
