Journal of the American Society for Naval EngineersVolume 68, Issue 2 p. 327-330 BREATHING MEDIA IN DEEP SEA DIVING LIEUTENANT COMMANDER THOMAS H. BLOCKWICK, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER THOMAS H. BLOCKWICK U.S. Navy THE AUTHOR is a regular Naval Officer having been in the Navy since 1942. He was associated with deep sea diving and ship salvage during World War II; from 1947 to 1951 was Assistant Officer-in-Charge at the Experimental Diving Unit at Washington, D.C., in charge of research, development and testing of diving equipment, skin diving gear and related underwater projects. At present he is attached to the Charleston Naval Shipyard in the Production Department. He holds the Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Maryland University.Search for more papers by this author LIEUTENANT COMMANDER THOMAS H.
