Abstract

By applying the generalized bilinear method and a trial function, we construct the breather wave and multiwaves of the extended (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa-like(JML) equation. These new solutions have enriched the existing literature on the extended (3+1)-dimensional JML equation. Three breather wave solutions are explored, which exhibit various dynamic features, but all of them are periodic. The characteristics of the multiwave solutions are depicted through the three-dimensional plots, density plots and contourplots, and we found that the changes of parameter values in the multiwave solutions can cause some interesting phenomena.
