Abstract

PREVIEWRadiologists have joined their clinical colleagues in the quest to detect breast cancer as early as possible, well before potentially lethal metastases develop. This article reviews the value and limitations of mam-mography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and other imaging techniques. In addition, Dr Samuels discusses terminology used in breast imaging reports and reviews interventional procedures.
