Abstract

Background: Breast cancer in young women appears, by definition, in women less than 40 years old and is the most frequent cancer-related cause of death in these patients. Breast cancer in young women have been presenting a linear raising prevalence and is associated with worse prognosis, more aggressive hystology and more frequent recurrence. This study aimed to compare women who are <40 years versus ≥40 years old with breast cancer regarding overall survival and disease-free survival.
