Abstract

The nonequilibrium part of the proton spectra from a few ( α, p) reactions is calculated, assuming the breakup-fusion (BF) mechanism. It is shown that the calculation reproduces very well the higher-energy parts of the observed spectra, but underestimates the lower-energy parts. The reason why this happens and a plausible mechanism that may fill up this gap are discussed.
