Abstract

Lujo virus (LUJV) is an arenavirus that emerged in 2008 associated with a cluster of human cases of severe hemorrhagic fever. In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Raaben etal. (2017) identify neuropilin (NRP)-2 as cell surface receptor and the tetraspannin protein CD63 as intracellular entry factor for LUJV.
