Abstract

Biocatalysis is well-established in (bio)chemical sciences and Brazil has significantly contributed to the growth of this theme. In this context, herein we have compiled the advances in alcohol dehydrogenases-catalyzed biotransformations in the last two decades in Brazil, covering isolated enzymes, microorganisms, and edible plants. Considering the importance of Brazilian contribution to this field, we believe this material would be of interest to researchers for the development of new synthetic strategies.
