Abstract

The border that separates, but also unite, the municipalities of Foz de Iguacu (Brazil) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) might be considered as the “consumption frontier”. This border environment is created and recreated daily based on the good border relations the occurred there. Downtown center of Ciudad del Este was known throughout the world in the years of 1990s due expressiveness of business relationship and the consumption that there unfolded. Ciudad del Este was once considered the third biggest business world city, but throughout the years, was losing some of your representativeness. Recent year’s shows sales decrease in the Paraguayan city, but nevertheless Ciudad del Este never left to be the destination of many consumers-tourists. Therefore, the present article it is a syntheses of the Geography Master degree Dissertation defended in the year of 2014, self entitled “The border of consumption: border relations between Foz do Iguacu (BR) and Ciudad del Leste (PY)”. The article in question comprehends some considerations obtained over the research for the Master degree scope.
