Abstract
In order to use event-related potentials (ERP) to reveal the unique rules of Chinese metaphor processing and use ERP to analyze the neural mechanism, this paper take advantage of both Chinese and English corpus to study the semantic processing mechanism of Chinese-English bilinguals so that understand the law of metaphor processing in brain. In this study, we used time-related ERP and analyze the components of N400 of ERP data, through which to obtain three-dimensional images of space location of the metaphorical activation region of the brain. The metaphorical processing experiment of Chinese-English bilinguals shows that most of the brain are involved in processing English metaphorical sentences, and the activation region of English metaphors in the left brain is larger than that in the right brain.
