Abstract
BMI is usually described as “a device that translates neuronal information into commands capable of controlling external software or hardware such as a computer or robotic arm.”. This paper explored both existing and experimental innovations in this emerging field and highlighted some related ethical concerns. As a matter of fact, such powerfull technology may potentially undermine - as well as boost - our privacy and autonomy. I conclude that the potential threats can be substantially reduced by the Legislator if the right international regulations for the society are implemented and harmonized.
