Abstract

Brain drain as the diffusion of talented people from home to host country is a concern to many nations. Based on a case study of brain drain in developing countries from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), this article explores new insights related to the determinants of brain drain phenomenon using data provided by World Economic Forum throughout the Global Competitiveness Report (WEFGCR) 2014–2015. According to our knowledge, this article reveals a new methodological perspective considering that the performed analysis is based on data provided by WEFGCR and applied on emerging countries sample.
