Abstract

BRAF mutations have been documented in cutaneous nevi and correlate with clinical and histopathologic features that affect treatment and outcome. BRAF tissue positivity has previously been associated with conjunctival nevus presentation but failed to analyze for statistically significant differences in clinical presentation while isolating for BRAF tissue positivity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence of BRAF V600E immunoreactivity in pediatric conjunctival lesions and its relation to clinical and histopathologic features to determine their statistical relationship.
