Abstract
Sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution to the BVP x″ = f( t, x, x′), x(0) = Q 0 x(1), x′(0) = Q 1 x′(1) are obtained. Here Q 0, Q 1 are nonsingular n × n matrices, with Q 0 orthogonal. These extend results for the periodic case and are proved via a modification of a degree-theoretic approach.
