Abstract

Laminar boundary layer flow and heat transfer on the surface of rotating body of revolution with uniform suction or injection is studied for the case of constant heat flux. The partial differential equations are reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equations by means of the difference-differential method. The solutions of these ordinary equations are expressed in a form of integral ones, which are then solved by iterative numerical quadratures. The effects of suction and injection on the velocity and temperature profiles, as well as on the local skin friction coefficient are discussed
