Abstract

The paper deals with the integral equation formulation in two-dimensional thermoelasticity. In addition to the coupled thermoelasticity five special classes of problems are analysed, such as classical elastodynamics, quasi-static problems of thermoelasticity, thermal stresses, quasi-static problems of uncoupled thermoelasticity and stationary problems of thermoelasticity. For general transient problems the formulation in the Laplace transformed domain is given and that in the time domain when it is available. Alternatively, the boundary integro-differential equations can be used for solving boundary value problems. The regularised integral representations of the stress field and heat flux are proposed.
