Abstract

The equilibrium of a linear elastic body with a crack is described by a boundary value problem on a domain Ω ⊂ ℝ3. Here the undeformed shape Ω is expreesed in the form of Ω = ℝ3\C, where C is a surface C with a smooth boundary. Here we assume that the surface C is approximated with a family of domains V e (0 ≤ e ≤ e o) with smooth boundary, as in Fig.l.
