Abstract

The Boundary Force Method (BFM), an indirect boundary element method, was formulated for two-dimensional mixed boundary value problems. The analytical solution for forces and moments applied to a cracked, infinite sheet is used as the fundamental solution. Thus, the crack faces need not be modeled.
