Abstract

A study of bound states of micleon-antinucleon pairs is carried out with an unsubtractedN/D method previously applied to the KK system. The binding forces are generated by meson exchanges treated with Regge pole formalism. The meson exchange terms are chosen to be consistent with fits to nucleon-nucleon scattering data. It is shown that π,η, ρ and ω mesons may be obtained as boundNN states, but predictions are limited in detail because of sensitivity to input Eegge slope parameter values. A discussion of self-consistency is given, and the bootstrap mechanism for the mesons is found to be not completely consistent when only N-N states are included.
