Abstract

Bottlenecks are one of the most important problems that can effect the performance of the production systems. Detection of the bottlenecks in the production process can increase the performance of production system. This research is based on detecting bottlenecks by high-level petri nets in the job-shop production system. The capabilities of this method lead us to monitor the job-shop manufacturing process for avoiding of bottlenecks before running the system for evaluating time cycle production and reducing it by optimizing methods in the future works. The case study conducted at the Tarrah Sanaye Khouzestan industrial group placed at Albaji industrial zone, Ahvaz, Iran. The results showed the performance of high-level petri nets for detecting the bottlenecks and modeling the concurrent systems like job shop production systems.
