Abstract
Stem canker of pigeon pea ( Cajanus cajan ) is reported from Fiji; this is the first report of the disease from the southwest Pacific area. The cause is Botryosphaeria xanthocephala (anamorph: Fusicoccum cajani (H. & P. Sydow & Butler) comb. nov.). This is the first report of a connexion between B. xanthocephala and F. cajani .
