Abstract

The species Bothrophyllum conicum (Fischer, 1837) has been found in the limestones O6 of the Donets Basin for the first time. The species В. dobrolyubovae Yakovlev, identified here previously from the Middle and Upper Carboniferous, is considered now to be a junior synonym of the described species. Study of the evolutional transformations in the phylogenetic trend B. pseudoconicum - B. conicum that occured in Moscovian time allows marking the important level of correlation between the Donets Basin and Moscow syneclise.
