Abstract

The paper includes an account of the vegetation of the Hamirpur District in South Uttar Pradesh as observed by the authors during three seasonal visits during 1961-62. The District has a large number of picturesque artificial lakes and water reservoirs and the aquatic flora has been given particular attention. The information gathered in this connection has been summarised in a table. The paper also includes an enumeration of more than 400 species of flowering plants and ferns which were gathered during the three collection tours.
