Abstract
A precise treatment of ghost bosonization is given in the operator framework without employing conformal field theory techniques. This is then applied to reformulate Virasoro BRS cohomology using bosonic coordinates but without a ghost number degree of freedom. Subsequent analysis reveals a rather elegant structure.
