Abstract

A gravitating global monopole produces a repulsive gravitational field outside the core in addition to a solid angular deficit. In this letter, we describe boson stars with a solid angular deficit. These objects generalize Q-ball by including a complex scalar field, the Goldstone field and classical Einstein gravity, and have interesting astrophysical applications.
