Abstract

The properties of a dilute Bose system with strong repulsive core followed by a week attractive tail are studied using Green-function methods. From the results it is concluded that such a system possesses properties which much resemble those of liquid helium (below the lambda-transition temperature). It is also concluded that such a system is a stable assembly and its transition temperature in the liquid state is comparable to the lambda transition temperature of liquid 4He.
