Abstract

The following article is dedicated to the description of borrowed vocabulary in the Russian language and eduction of its status. It notes that the source languages borrowed words, except the ones from elder Slavonic lexis, are: Latin, Turkic, Polish, Greek, German, French, Dutch, English, etc., and that the borrowing process is especially dynamic during the period of revolutionary changes in society. Analysis and observation have shown, that borrowed words are the result of the interference of the Russian language and foreign languages, caused by extralinguistic and intralinguistic reasons; one of the reasons for active borrowing is quite illustrative – the influence of media and youth social discourse to the usage modern foreign language vocabulary. The article represents the information, that borrowed words act as inter-style vocabulary, and most of them are represented in literature speech, but before that, they pass through certain stages of adaptation. The authors briefly presents the prospects for further study of borrowed vocabulary as a special component of the modern Russian language, constantly updated in accordance with the new realities in the life of society.&nbsp
