Abstract

ABSTRACT A three-factor field experiment was carried out to assess the effects of the selection of cultivar, seeding rate, and foliar application of boron in cultivation of oilseed flax. The study showed that boron application had a significant effect on components of yield structure and a slight effect on seed quality. Seed weight, seed number per capsule, fat and protein content in the seeds, and fiber content in the stems increased. The “Jantarol” cultivar reacted more strongly, confirming that foliar application of boron is advisable in the case of yellow flax varieties.
