Abstract
Crafoord, C.: Borderline: Interaction in development, diagnostics and therapy. Nordisk Psykologi, 1986, 38 (4), 264–272. A survey is given of phenomenological descriptions of the Borderline Syndrome as well of psychoanalytic considerations of developmental and diagnostic criteria. A developmental framework provides an outline of the »developmental dialogue« between mother and infant which is reproduced in the psychotherapeutic setting. The interactional perspective is considered crucial to an understanding of the dynamics of the syndrome as well as to effecting a comprehensive treatment.
