Abstract

In this issue of Neuron, Sadegh etal.1 identify a novel potential therapeutical target for posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH). The authors identified that overexpression of Na-K-2Cl cotransporter-1 (NKCC1) in the choroid plexus relieves ventriculomegaly and enhances cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) clearance in improved PHH mouse models.
