April 01 2020 Books Received Rachel Hellgren Rachel Hellgren Rachel Hellgren is a design educator and researcher with a background in visual communication and design management. Rachel provides pre-production consultation and quality control for cover design submissions to Design Issues. Currently, she teaches in the Arts Management program and Emerging Technology, Business, and Design department at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, while also maintaining a freelance business. Her research focuses on topics of compassion, improvisation, and character in relationship to equitable social systems, as well as on the future of the liberal arts and design education.
