Abstract

This book is a compendium of papers given at the 8th International Congress of Women's Health Issues held in Canada in June 1997.It consists of 29 chapters which have been arranged into 5 themes: theoretical and practical issues, the trauma of sexual abuse and violence across the lifespan, reproduction, motherhood and the social control of women, traditional cultures and women's health, and globalization, corporate greed and their impact on women's image, health and work.
