Abstract
One of the best parameters for assessing the value of individual volumes in a library is the rate at which they reach a state of dilapidation. When applied, it reveals the two most valuable books to be a well-known standard text book of radiology and the first edition of this work by Theodore E. Keats. The popularity of the latter is easy to explain.
