Abstract

This text is aimed at providing a concise account of the various procedures currently adopted in the application of radioisotope techniques to gastroenterology. There are 12 chapters covering a wide range of topics starting with salivary scintigraphy and including topics of interest to gastroenterologists and radiologists such as gastrointestinal transit and reflux studies, gastrointestinal bleeding, localization of ectopic gastric mucosa, liver and spleen scintigraphy, hepatobiliary scintigraphy and abscess detection.
