Abstract

Ref 87–15 (J) This is a well produced and instructive audiovisual teaching programme consisting of 89 slides and two tapes (47 minutes). The presentation starts with a description of the normal anatomy and the otoscopic and radiological appearances of the middle ear, and progresses to describe various types of pathology affecting the middle ear. Unfortunately, the title is a little misleading because this audiovisual series only covers a limited range of middle ear pathology. For example, there is no mention of malignant disease, traumatic lesions or congenital abnormalities.
