The EconLit Abstract of the reviewed work begins “Analyzes the linkages between the new climate change regime’s prospective rules on greenhouse gases and international trade, and considers a course of action that would maximize the success of the attack on global warming while minimizing the risk to world trade. Discusses an overview of applicable World Trade Organization (WTO) rules; the status of climate measures under the law of the WTO; future climate policy and the WTO; and elements of a trade and climate code. Hufbauer is Reginald Jones Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Charnovitz is Associate Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School.
