NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION. Tentative Standard for the Prevention of Fire and Dust Explosions in Feed Mills (NFPA No. 61C-T). National Fire Protection Association, Publications Service Department, 60 Batterymarch Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02110. 24 pp. $1.00.This tentative standard is intended to eventually replace part of the existing standard NFPA No. 61C, “Code for the Prevention of Dust Explosions in Flour and Feed Mills.” This new tentative standard pertains to prevention of fire and dust explosions in feed mills.It applies to facilities designed principally for production of dry feed products from agricultural commodities. The material in the text is intended as a guide for owners and feed mill operators.It was developed by the NFPA Committee on Dust Explosion Hazards through its Sectional Committee on Grain and Food Processing Dusts. Adopted in tentative form at the 1972 NFPA Annual Meeting, it is subject to major revision before being submitted .
