Abstract

At a time when the standard radiographic skull series has a diminishing place in the evaluation of many neurological problems the need for a publication devoted to the radiology of the normal skull may well be questioned. However, the confident distinction on a skull X ray between the limits of normal variation and significant pathology can still be an important factor in clinical management in which the radiologist should play a decisive part.
