Abstract
In practising radiology to the best advantage in an intensive care unit there must be very close co-operation between the clinician in charge of the case and the radiologist concerned. The facilities available on the ward and in the X-ray department vary greatly between hospitals and the problems of each patient are probably more particular than for any other group of patients.
