Abstract
This is a multiauthor book with a total of 19 chapters dealing with radiation physics, the handling and transport of radioactive material, as well as historical aspects of nuclear accidents and the medical management of accident victims. The stated objective of the text is to provide a comprehensive publication of the medical management of radiation accidents. It is intended for persons with previous background knowledge such as physicians, health physicists or radiation safety officers.
