Abstract

The Molecular and Genetic Basis of Neurological Disease is a large volume devoted to the clinical and scientific aspects of this vast subject. There are a total of 77 chapters divided into 23 parts written by 129 authors. The subjects covered range from developmental disorders such inborn errors of amino acid metabolism and transport to degenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. There are also interesting sections on the genetics of alcohol dependence, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, human genome mapping and gene therapy.
