Abstract

According to the author, this book is written for both novice and experienced programmers. The book contains no programming exercises, however; it would not lend itself easily to use as a textbook for a class. With the exception of Chapter 1 -- which devotes a total of seventeen pages to the history of programming languages, syntax, programming technique, flowcharts, compilers, interpreters, data storage and format, RAM and ROM -- the book appears to be oriented more towards use as a reference by experienced programmers who want to learn how to use this implementation of Pascal.
