Abstract

The review describes the content of the monograph devoted to the study of the history of the Laishevsky district of Kazan province in the second half of the 19th – early 20thcentury on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of a wide range of published and unpublished sources stored in the collections of the State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Lobachevsky Scientific Library of KFU, the Russian State Military Historical Archive and the Russian State Historical Archive. The reviewer shows the scientific and practical significance of the study, which chronologically covers the period from the time of the Great Reforms of Alexander II to the revolutionary events of 1917 inclusive. Both advantages and disadvantages are noted in the disclosure of some plots, a detailed consideration of which would enrich the content of the work. For citation: Murtazina F.G.
