ISBN-10: 1416062629. ![][1] Master Techniques in Rhinoplasty consists of a 500-page text with 38 chapters and 4 video DVDs. It is a comprehensive overview of the history of and currently accepted techniques in rhinoplasty. The editors and authors should be commended for compiling an extensive treatise covering both traditional and some alternative techniques. The early chapters discussing historical background, anatomic considerations, psychological factors, and nasal analysis are thorough, well written, and nicely illustrated. The subsequent chapters cover various comprehensive techniques for open and endonasal primary and secondary rhinoplasty. The latter part of the book is divided into chapters addressing specific anatomic considerations, ethnically specific rhinoplasty techniques, and secondary deformities, as well as chapters devoted to cleft rhinoplasty, nasal reconstruction with local flaps, management of septal perforations, and a brief chapter on implant-based genioplasty as an adjunct procedure. Four DVDs accompany the book, with video content derived from author presentations; these also include very well-produced intraoperative demonstrations of some techniques described in the book. However, all chapters are not matched with video content.
