Abstract

DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5915/27-4-14428 Ibn Sina, or Avicenna as known in the West, was a well known Islamic philospher and physician. He composed 276 works, the most famous of which is al-Qanun fi al-tibb. This paper highlights the bone fractures that may occur, described in Ibn Sina's al-Qanun, and reveals his accomplishments and contributions to this field of medicine.
