Abstract

ABSTRACT A straight-forward way to predict system dynamics, based on power flow through pressurized components, can be achieved by the use of power bond graphs. An important advantage of the method is that once the graph is established, it can be reused each time the component is involved in a new design. A bond graph is a simple diagram which shows the elements and connections of a dynamic system. The graph relates directly to the sketch of the system and will accommodate all forms of energy. A tractor load sensing assembly, based on pres-surized oil flow, is a typical application for bond graphs. The study was made to investigate the response and stability of the sensing assembly. The paper investigates both the conventional dynamic method and the bond graph approach. A comparison of the two methods is presented. De-rivation of the bond graph method is covered in com-plete detail.
